Mission 3 - Waiting on a Worm

Whilest I was walking back to the supply center one fine morning, I noticed along the way a small worm squirming for help. Wearing some rather uncomfortable clothing (I take supply center days off from saving the world) It took quite a bit to reach down and pick him up.

At first analysis, I thought he was half dried on the pavement, and dying slowly. There would have been no hope for him then. But I then saw I had approached him at just the right time, for his bottom half was only barely drying out and I was able to pick him up.

Doing so, I gingerly chucked him back into the grass. The sad part to say of all of this was that the poor worm then got skewered on some grass which I'm sure must have hurt. But I assuredly left him there were I was sure he would receive some good dirt for his pains very soon.

This may not seem like such a large act of service to you, but let me tell you. In my line of business, it's the smallest things that make the biggest kind of difference.

Mission 2 - Poster Placement

Late that night, as I sat in my study waiting for a call, I decided to pull out some old artwork. Realizing that it was not nearly completed. I then set the rest of my day to setting to finish this old poster I had promised one of the trainees, Pinnula.

It was just about when I had decided to add the other three characters in the back that I received a call.

Turns out I had been doing exactly what HQ had wanted me to. They commanded me to finish the poster and then (Tricky part comes now) Place it without being caught inside the proper spot on Pinnula's database. Meaning, her wall.

Finishing it became trickier as I began forgetting specific things about the characters. I'd have to start going up and ask the only person that knew somethings about the colors of the characters. And that was Pinnula herself. When she started to become suspiscious, I told her I was just working on a profile of the characters. It was then I took snack break.

Who came into sit down next to me happened to be, who else? Pinnula. She ate alongside me. We talked. A bit more about the specific shirt color of one character. After a while, she said, "I'd like to see a profile or two, if they are colored after all." Of course, what a proper spy would do, but not what I needed at the moment.

She was going to take more time than I to eat, so I told her to clean up. "I'll meet you." She said as she scarfed down the remainders.

It was as soon as I was out of her eye range, I rushed downstairs to my lab and snatched the face-down poster off my table. I then lunged, stuck it in my closet, locked my door and raced into my bed with a book.

I guess it must've made a difference, because when she begged to come in, I insisted that they weren't done, and no, she could not come in. She left.

I finished the poster. But now I had to place it...

She and another smaller agent were out in the common room, dancing to heavy music. It was going to be tough getting past her in the hall to sneak into her own room to pin something up and then leave unnoticed.

But that's my job. It's what I do. I'm an agent, and I'm ONLY out to do good.

But it was just my luck that Pinnula got called upstairs leaving only the younger agent on guard. I got past him easily, rolling up the poster so it would not make as much noise. Grabbing some pins from the box in my lab, I managed to rearrange her whole database in order to make room for the poster. Pinnula had not come back. I managed to take three shaky, quick pictures of it before I had to leave, one of which is the better of the three, above.

It took Pinnula three times in her room before she actually noticed it in her mirror. But nonetheless, her shriek of joy was good enough for me...
